I agree that the fans got shafted Sunday. They really had to know as early as Sunday afternoon that the rain would keep coming on again and off again- and that Monday would just be a better day for racing, in spite of the lost fans and viewers. As it is, (considering Tim's remark here) they created the situation they'd hoped to avoid (pissed off fans).
HOWEVER- I disagree with your conspiracy theory, which is complete hogwash. It would be a little more believable if FOX were presenting the Oscars, but they weren't. That is to say, they really wouldn't have gained anything with post-Oscars coverage. Even they are amrt enough to know the average NASCAR fan has no use for the Oscars.

The thing that I dont understand is the fact that NASCAR started the race to begin with. Knowing full well that the track was not completely dry. Endangering every driver on the track. Instead of postponing the race until Monday and running the full race on a dry track. Maybe just maybe NASCAR will get a clue, and soon because I think time is running out and fans like myself are growing impatient. Go 88

Rain is always a problem with nascar. I heard they were experimenting with treaded tires a couple years back. Either way racing at 2 am sound a little dangerous unless all the drivers took some "no doze".

Not a bad conspiracy theory, I tend to agree with it.

And it's nice to see you branch into non-sports topics such as this.
