Floyd Mayweather Jr. Reportedly Made $1 Million Betting on Patriots Over Broncos
By Larry Brown December 29, 2011 - Posted in Sports Betting
Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s gambling exploits are legendary. The man says he wins and loses millions on a given betting weekend. From the sounds of things, he was mostly up a few weeks ago.
Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review-Journal says Floyd bet $1 million that Tim Tebow wouldn’t have a prayer against the Patriots in Week 15. The Pats rolled to victory 41-23, easily covering the 6.5-point spread.
This is good news for Floyd. Now he can afford to pay his $2,500 court fine for domestic violence. With bets like this, he also should be able to afford payments on his $300,000 Mercedes and $50,000 customized iPod.
We all know I’m just bitter because Doc Brown had the Broncos plus the points.
Thanks to Deadspin for sharing the report.
