Serena Williams’ Outfit Celebrates Black History Month (Pictures)

As we all know, Black History Month is celebrated during the month of February. We also know that Serena Williams marches to the beat of her own drum. That’s why she decided that she wanted to start paying tribute to Black History Month now — during the Australian Open. Check out these pictures of Serena’s swag from the first round that Busted Racquet passed along:

Nike created the gear specifically for Serena, with the designs featuring Black History Month monograms. Williams has never been afraid to express herself by way of her clothing, and personally I think breaking out the Black History Month gear early is a nice touch. If it’s something you believe in, why wait?
