Manny Machado caught the attention of many with his postgame rant on Tuesday night, but Chris Sale isn’t worried about it.
Informed after Boston’s 5-2 win over Baltimore on Tuesday about Machado ripping the Red Sox, Sale said he wasn’t “losing any sleep” over the rant.

Sale is the one who sparked the issue with Machado on Tuesday after throwing a heater behind the Orioles third baseman in the first inning. The pitch seemed to be a response to Machado’s slow home run trot from a day earlier and a slide into Dustin Pedroia in the previous series between the two.
Machado said in his postgame comments that he had lost respect for the Red Sox over the way they have handled things and that he expected some retaliation on Wednesday.
