David Price lands on injured list with elbow injury
David Price has had issues with his pitching elbow at various points over the past two years, and a similar ailment has once again landed him on the injured list.
The Boston Red Sox announced on Monday that Price has been placed on the 10-day injured list with elbow tendinitis. The move is retroactive to May 3.
#RedSox just now placed David Price on the 10-day injured list with elbow tendinitis, retroactive to May 3. RHP Ryan Weber added from Triple-A Pawtucket.
Weber will wear number 65. The Red Sox’ 40-man roster is now at 40.

Price, who is 1-2 with a 3.75 ERA in six starts this year, experienced elbow soreness during spring training in 2017 and missed the first two months of the season because of it. He made 30 starts last season and did not appear to be affected by it, eventually exorcising his playoff demons to help the Red Sox win a World Series.
There had been some speculation that Price hurt his elbow before by playing video games too often, so be prepared to hear that talk again. Either way, an injury to one of their best starting pitchers is the last thing Boston needs after a slow start to the season.
