Though the video doesn’t show where the ball landed, Joey Gallo hit a grand slam Tuesday that went so far it left the ballpark in Frisco.
Gallo broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the 8th with the grand slam that traveled out of Dr. Pepper Ballpark for his 37th home run of the season. He clubbed 21 with Single-A Myrtle Beach and this was his 16th with the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders … and that’s in just 103 games.
Reporter Kate Morrison says the moon shot cleared two fences and went into the street:

We told you about Gallo’s powerful swing a few weeks ago back when he hit a homer in the All-Stars Futures Game that went so far it disappeared from the camera’s view. The same thing happened with this one, though this was probably due to the amateur cameraman.
You know Rangers fans have to be salivating over this guy. He’s probably going to crack 50 home runs this season. Given the lack of power in pro ball these days, that would be nuts.
