John Gibbons says Blue Jays are talking Rich Hill trade with Oakland
Here’s a new double entendre to the saying “The rich get richer.”
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons appeared on MLB Network Radio with Jim Duquette on Friday and revealed that the team is engaged in talks with the Oakland Athletics about the possibility of a trade for veteran lefty Rich Hill.
Gibby confirmed that they're talking to Oakland about Rich Hill

Hill is pushing 36 years of age but has had a productive 2016 campaign with a 9-3 record, a 2.25 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and 90 strikeouts in 14 starts for the A’s.
With J.A. Happ the only southpaw currently in Toronto’s regular rotation, Hill fits a need for the Blue Jays. They may be buying high on the journeyman, but it’s clear that Toronto is in the market for starting pitching help. With no long-term commitment necessary to make to Hill (he becomes a free agent after the season), he may prove to be a highly enticing trade option for the Blue Jays as they prep for the postseason.
