After starting the season off slowly, San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval has been hitting nearly everything in sight lately. He came into Tuesday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds with a 12-game hitting streak in tact.
Unfortunately for Sandoval, his streak is no more after going 0-for-3.
Also among the things that are no more is the laptop of Reds beat reporter Mark Sheldon, which was reduced to scrap heap material after it was struck by a foul ball off the bat of Sandoval. Sheldon shared the above photo via his Twitter account with “RIP my laptop” as part of the caption, which is appropriate since it’s no longer with us.
