Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors reportedly have halted contract talks for the restricted free agent, but that does not mean the team is in danger of losing the valuable forward.
Yahoo Sports’ Marc J. Spears reports that the two sides have broken off contract talks and that Green is open to talking with other teams.
It sounds like there’s an issue over Green’s perceived value:

Because he is a restricted free agent, the Warriors have the opportunity to match any offer sheet Green signs with another team. That is why there is not a fear of losing him at this moment.
The Warriors probably made an offer to Green that was not to his liking, so now it’s up to him to see what other teams are willing to pay him. In all likelihood, Golden State will match whatever offer sheet Green signs.
