Jamal Crawford had incredible live prediction of Luka Doncic game-winner

Jamal Crawford on a TNT broadcast

J-Crossover looked more like J-CrystalBall out there on Friday.

TNT’s Jamal Crawford was on the network’s alternate broadcast for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks (along with Taylor Rooks and Channing Frye). Before the ball was inbounded on Dallas’ last offensive possession, Crawford predicted that Mavs star Luka Doncic would hit a step-back three to win the game.

“It’s gonna be in Luka’s hands, and he’s gonna hit a stepback,” Crawford said (with his eyes closed too as if he was peering into the future). “I think he makes it, and he’s gonna hop on one leg after.”

Stunningly, Crawford 100 percent nailed the prediction, even down to Doncic hopping on one leg after releasing the stepback. Here is the remarkable video.

Crawford even noted before the inbounds that Minnesota center Rudy Gobert was still in the game and added that, “Rudy’s gonna be involved.” That was amazing.

The three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year Crawford has been with TNT since 2022 and recently graduated from their studio show to the main broadcast team (where he alternates with Stan Van Gundy as the third member of the booth alongside Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller).

Crawford has already drawn rave reviews as a booth analyst with his upbeat and insightful analysis. He clearly knows his hoops, and watching Doncic make good on his prediction had to be especially sweet too considering Crawford’s history with the Timberwolves.
