Kawhi Leonard’s sister deletes video saying brother will leave Toronto
The Toronto Raptors made a bold trade for Kawhi Leonard before the season that has paid off with the franchise’s first NBA Finals berth. The trade also created a season-long storyline leaving everyone around the league wondering whether Leonard would remain in Toronto beyond this season.
A video his sister shared on social media Saturday night isn’t exactly something Toronto fans will want to see.
Leonard’s sister, Miesha Slayton, went on Instagram Live after the Raptors won Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals Saturday night. She was interacting with fans celebrating the team’s win and Kawhi’s awesomeness. At one point during her video, a voice in the background says “they know darn well that he ain’t gonna be there next year.”

Slayton later deleted the video.
There has long been speculation that regardless of what the Raptors accomplish this season and no matter how well the fans in Toronto treat him, Leonard would still leave. Reports have even identified the teams he is supposedly most interested in.
Someone saying that in the background of his sister’s video will only add to the speculation that Leonard is going to leave Toronto after the season.
