Kevin Durant’s impending free agency is an issue that has been “simmering” among the Golden State Warriors, according to a report.
Draymond Green and Durant got into a heated locker room exchange after Monday night’s overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Durant, and others, were upset with Green for not passing the ball on the final play of regulation, which sent the game to overtime.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Green challenged Durant about his impending free agency. Charania says Durant’s free agency has been a “simmering” issue for the team.
Sources: In midst of verbal exchange on court late in Monday's game, Draymond Green challenged Kevin Durant about Durant's impending free agency. As teammates came at Green about his turnover, he responded. This has been a simmering issue for the Warriors today.

Durant signed a one-year deal with the Warriors that gave them financial flexibility for the season. However, that also means he is not committed to the team beyond the season, despite having a $31.5 million player option for next year.
There has been speculation that Durant could leave for another team and new challenge after the season, especially since he’s already won two championships with Golden State and could get a third this year. There was talk about him potentially joining LeBron in Los Angeles. There has even been talk of another seemingly even more improbable team.
