Kyrie Irving questions Celtics coaches over defensive strategy on Kemba Walker
Kyrie Irving voiced some complaints about the Boston Celtics’ coaching after the team lost 124-117 to the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
Walker scored 36 points and added 11 rebounds and 9 assists in the win. He was 11/25 from the field including 6/13 on threes. Asked how tough Walker is to stop when he’s playing like that, Irving said the Celtics should trap him more “like every other team does in the league.” He also said Walker torches them every time.

Marcus Smart is usually the guy who would defend Walker, but he was on the bench in foul trouble. The end result is Boston allowed Walker to score 18 in the fourth quarter and blew an 18-point lead.
Irving blaming the coaches after Boston blows another big lead is a bad look in what’s been a season full of them for the guard.
