Lakers fans taunt Jalen Rose during ESPN NBA show
Los Angeles Lakers fans have good memories … and no chill.
ESPN decided to set up its NBA TV crew outside of Staples Center on Saturday night for the telecast of the Lakers-Houston Rockets game. The idea seemed great — they would be live at the venue where the big game was being played. Though it was a good idea in theory, it turned out to be bad in practice.
Lakers fans marred the postgame show by taunting ESPN NBA analyst Jalen Rose with chants of “81” in the background.

“81” is a reference to the amount of points Kobe Bryant scored on the Toronto Raptors in a 2006 game when Rose was part of the team. The number has taken on a life of its own and is used any time people want to take a shot at Rose.
The taunt seems to be getting old though, especially since Kobe let Rose off the hook for it.
