Pau Gasol has not played since March with a foot injury that was initially expected to keep him out for about a month, but the veteran big man is not going to play again this year.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Gasol underwent surgery for a stress fracture in his left foot, and he will be out for the remainder of the playoffs.

Gasol joined the Milwaukee Bucks in early March to give them some front-court depth, but he ended up appearing in only three games for them. He played 27 games for the San Antonio Spurs prior to that and averaged just 3.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game between the two teams.
The Bucks are coming off a convincing series win over the Boston Celtics and just got another key player back from an injury, so Gasol probably was not going to play much — if at all — even if he did make his way back from the ankle injury. He is set to become a free agent after the season and will turn 39 over the summer.
