Paul Pierce takes shot at rival Lakers
Paul Pierce sure was enjoying himself on Friday as the Celtics were honored with a championship parade in Boston to celebrate the team winning its 18th championship.
Pierce, who led the Celtics to the 2008 NBA championship and is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, was partaking in some of the parade fun.

He also took the opportunity to jab the rival Los Angeles Lakers, who have won 17 championships. Pierce zinged the Lakers for putting up a banner for winning the inaugural In-Season Tournament this season.
“If we win the in season tournament, we’re not putting up a banner. Let the Lakers do that. We can make it into a carpet and put it in the hallway or something,” Pierce said.

The Lakers received criticism for the way they celebrated winning the In-Season Tournament. The team may have ultimately had their eye on the wrong prize, as they lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Nuggets.
Pierce seeing the Lakers celebrate winning an In-Season Tournament and get eliminated in the first round, the same year the Celtics win the championship, had to be a dream for him.
