DeMarcus Cousins picked up his first technical foul as a member of the Golden State Warriors in his third game with the organization, which came as something of a disappointment to coach Steve Kerr.
To be clear, Kerr wasn’t too terribly upset with the technical foul. He was more upset that he’d lost a bet on when Cousins would get that technical.
“Yeah, I lost a bet,” Kerr told KNBR 680 on Friday, via Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports Bay Area. “I had Game 2 as his first technical. But it took three games.”
Kerr was right to be pretty bullish on Cousins getting in trouble with referees. This is, after all, a guy who managed to get ejected from a Warriors game before even suiting up for the team. That won’t be his last technical of the season.
