Lando Norris managed the tricky wet conditions at the British Grand Prix on Sunday to win the race for the first time in his career. The McLaren driver secured the win despite qualifying third for the race.
On the other hand, Oscar Piastri, who started second and overtook Max Verstappen to take the lead, dropped to second place. He was assessed a 10-second penalty for unsafe braking during a safety car restart.

Verstappen, who started from pole position, dropped all the way to P10 due to braking by Piastri. He was able to do some damage control and battled his way through the grid to finish fifth.
In somewhat of a surprise, Nico Hulkenberg, who has 239 career starts, won his first podium after finishing third for Kick Sauber.
Piastri now leads Norris by only 8 points, while his lead over Verstappen has widened to 51 points. Verstappen’s chances to win a 5th title continue to slip. Rumors continue to circulate that Verstappen is ready to move on from Red Bull Racing and switch to Mercedes Racing.
