So Who Won the Georgetown-China Fight?

Whether it was baseball, soccer, horse racing, or yes, even cycling, we’ve shown you a lot of sports fights here at LBS. But I don’t recall one that has received as much attention as Georgetown’s fight with a Chinese team Thursday. I’m guessing there are several reasons people find the fight so gripping. One, the violence in the fight was pretty excessive. Two, it was a cross-cultural brawl. Three, it happened on a goodwill tour.

After all, nothing says goodwill like some chair throwing, right?

Anyway, enough rambling. Let’s get down to the real question here: Who actually won this fight? Let’s watch the video via Sports Grid:

I don’t know about you, but I have to give that one to the Bayi Military Rockets. The game may have ended in a 64-64 tie, but judges give the tiebreaker to Bayi based on the brawl. From chair throwing to chest stomping, those guys were straight thugging. That was disgraceful.

For all the details on the fight, the Washington Post has you covered.
