The grandson of Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder reportedly died on Wednesday at the age of 22.
According to The Manhattan Mercury, emergency personnel responded to a medical call on Wednesday at a home owned by Sean Snyder, Bill Snyder’s son and the associate head coach at Kansas State. Riley County police confirmed that there was a death without releasing the name of the deceased, but the Mercury reports that it was Bill’s 22-year-old grandson and Sean’s son Matthew who passed away.
Bill Snyder, 78, announced earlier this month that he will return to Kansas State for a 27th season.
