Florida RB Adam Lane: Pooping my pants was best thing that happened
Most people would consider pooping your pants in public to be one of their most embarrassing moments, but that’s not how Adam Lane sees it.
The Florida running back went viral after video showed he pooped his pants during the Birmingham Bowl in January. On Wednesday he was asked at Florida’s spring practice about the infamous moment, and he had a positive attitude.
“It was the best thing that could have happened,” Lane said via 247 Sports. “It got a lot of attention and just put me in a place where I was out there publicly and people knew who I was. I really didn’t get a lot of grief from it.
“A lot of people were really more focused on how well I did in the game more than anything. I feel like it was that way because I embraced it.”
Now that is how to own an embarrassing incident and make sure it doesn’t stain your career. Lane says he even waved to the crowd on his way out and back into the game, though he doesn’t think the fans realized what had happened.
Lane was a freshman last season and had just eight carries for 72 yards prior to the bowl game. He rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown in the game, plus he had the poop moment. You can’t really break out in a bigger way than that!
