It has been nearly a decade since former ESPN college football announcer Brent Musburger came under fire for commenting on Katherine Webb’s good looks. Webb, who has since married former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, has always made it clear she was not offended. That has not changed.
Webb, who has been Webb-McCarron since she married McCarron back in 2014, was asked during a recent Q&A with fans on Instagram if she has ever met Musburger. She said she has not but defended the 82-year-old.
“I haven’t but we have exchanged friendly statements thru separate interviews. Listen leave that man alone he didn’t do nuthin wrong LOL,” Webb-McCarron wrote, via Awesemo.com.

Webb-McCarron was Miss Alabama USA in 2012, which was before Musburger gushed about her on live television. That happened during the BCS National Championship Game in 2013. Musburger called Webb-McCarron a “beautiful woman” during the broadcast and joked that star quarterbacks get all the pretty women (video here). He faced a lot of criticism and later apologized.
In the years since, Webb-McCarron has told people to lay off Musburger and thanked him for helping her career. Musburger, who is now the radio play-by-play voice of the Las Vegas Raiders, has never seemed all that remorseful. Webb-McCarron clearly does not think he should.
McCarron has been with five different NFL teams, most recently the Atlanta Falcons. He and Katherine have three children together.
