Kyle McCord could transfer to Syracuse after passing on Nebraska?
Kyle McCord will not be transferring to Nebraska after all, and there is a new school in contention for him.
McCord visited the Cornhuskers this week, as did his former Ohio State teammate, Julian Fleming. But word came out on Wednesday that McCord would be moving on from Nebraska.

It’s unclear why McCord has cooled on Nebraska, but there has been chatter that top recruit Dylan Raiola could switch his commitment to the Huskers. If that happens, then the quarterback spot would no longer be vacant.
Not long after word about McCord moving past Nebraska was reported, 247 Sports’ Tom Loy said Syraucse was a school to watch for the former Buckeyes quarterback.
I’m told to keep a very close eye on #Syracuse and Kyle McCord: https://t.co/ox3VoEGNOx@247Sports / @247SportsPortal https://t.co/RTUeQhlRRP

Syracuse just hired Fran Brown as their new head coach. Brown has served as Georgia’s defensive backs coach, and apparently he is a big factor in the recruiting game. If he can somehow swing getting McCord as a transfer, that would be a huge pickup. McCord passed for 3,170 yards and 24 touchdowns in 12 games with Ohio State this season.
