Nebraska AD puts Michigan, Ohio State on notice

Nebraska Football

Nebraska’s new athletic director put a few Big Ten powerhouses on notice Tuesday.

Bill Moos spoke at a luncheon and talked about the Cornhuskers’ athletic programs. He had extra optimism about the football program under new head coach Scott Frost.

“You’ve got Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh thinking, ‘We better put a little more into that Nebraska game coming up.’ And that’s the way we want it. They’re running a little bit scared right now. And they won’t admit it. We’ll leave that at that,” Moos said, via Omaha.com.

Moos told the Associated Press that he made his comments tongue in cheek, but he still expressed confidence in his program’s rebuilding efforts.

“Meant to point out that the competition is aware that there’s a renewed energy at Nebraska and we aim to get back in the hunt,” Moos told the AP.

Even if he was joking about Meyer and Harbaugh being concerned, his point still is not lost: Nebraska has a lot of confidence in the new football program.
