Watch: Ohio State return man commits epic blunder against Michigan
Ohio State kick returner Demario McCall will have nightmares about Saturday’s game, especially if his Buckeyes don’t win it.
Ohio State had jumped out to a 21-6 lead over Michigan late in the second quarter of Saturday’s game, but a Wolverine touchdown drive made it 21-13 with 47 seconds left in the half. McCall went back to receive the ensuing kickoff, tried to call for a fair catch, but fumbled it inside the ten, allowing for a Michigan recovery.

The play was a disaster. Michigan immediately scored on the first play from scrimmage, though they failed to complete the two-point conversion. Still, what had been a 21-6 game moments before was suddenly 21-19, and that was largely on account of McCall’s mistake.
Urban Meyer had already been fuming earlier in the quarter over some questionable officiating. One can only wonder what was going through his mind after the Buckeyes let Michigan back into the game.
