Howard was a star for the Crimson Tide in the title game win over Clemson. He five passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. The TDs were his first since since 2013.
After beating Clemson, Nick Saban said he wanted to get Howard the ball more. Howard said those comments made him want to return to school.
“You know, it makes me think about coming back and playing and making plays next season for Coach,” Howard said. “It’ll get me more involved in the offense.”
Howard was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and will likely be a top tight end when he does enter the draft.
