Syracuse coach goes viral for his gross admission

Syracuse head coach Fran Brown on Monday unwittingly submitted his application for the football sickos club.

Brown’s Syracuse squad on Saturday lost to Boston College 37-31 at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The Orange got clobbered by the Eagles’ run game. Syracuse was outrushed 313 to 39 in the contest as Boston College scored three touchdowns on the ground.

Brown held a press conference Monday and addressed the loss. The 42-year-old head coach revealed a rather repulsive ritual he has following Syracuse defeats.

“Honestly, I’ve got like a ritual,” Brown told reporters. “When we lose, I don’t even get into the shower until early [in the] morning. I just be mad. I just brush my teeth. I don’t deserve soap. I don’t deserve to do all that. … You’ve got to earn the right to do certain things, you know? Winners get washed.”

Brown’s press conference felt like something out of an “SNL” episode about how obsessive football coaches can get about the game. Brown added that he at least remains considerate of his wife by refusing to sleep in their shared bed whenever he abstains from showering. There’s probably nobody more excited about Syracuse football victories than Mrs. Brown.

Thankfully for Coach Brown and those in close contact with him, the Orange have lost just three games this season. However, Brown’s “winners get washed” mentality will be put to the test when Syracuse takes on No. 4 Miami to end the regular season.

While Brown still has a ways to go to reach Jim Harbaugh’s level of football psychosis, the Syracuse coach appears to be headed in the right direction.
