Syracuse QB Eric Dungey leaves game with lower back injury

What was supposed to be a big showcase for the Syracuse Orange is not going well Saturday.

Orange quarterback Eric Dungey suffered a lower back injury against Notre Dame, doubling over before a playcall at one point with a clearly painful injury.

According to the school, Dungey is being evaluated for a lower back injury and is questionable to return.

The senior entered Saturday’s game with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions for the 12th-ranked Orange. He’s brought a little bit of personality to a surprisingly successful team, so this is pretty clearly a big loss.
