The good news for Aldon Smith is that he signed with an NFL team on Friday. The bad news is he was also charged with three crimes.
The Raiders signed Smith to a one-year deal despite knowing he had been arrested for DUI, hit and run, and vandalism.
The Santa Clara County DA decided to charge Smith with three misdemeanors:

-DUI with prior conviction & refusal to submit to chemical test
-Hit & run with property damage
-Vandalism under $400

Smith somehow is actually eligible to play Sunday, but the NFL could decide to discipline him now that he has officially been charged.
