At least one Cincinnati Bengals fan accurately predicted how a disappointing season was going to end for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday — even if Baker Mayfield didn’t want to hear it.
When the Browns were set to come out of the tunnel at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati on Sunday, a fan yelled to Cleveland players that they were “gonna lose to a 1-14 team.” Another fan heckled Mayfield, and the quarterback told the guy to “come down here and tell me that to my face.”

It’s never a good idea for players to get into it with fans, as that is exactly the type of attention the fans are seeking. In this particular case, Mayfield looks even worse because the underachieving Browns did, in fact, proceed to lose to the team with the worst record in the NFL.
Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens made a troubling admission after his team’s horrible season officially ended, and it may not be long before he is out of a job after going 6-10.
If Mayfield was frustrated enough to engage with a fan before kickoff, you can imagine how he feels now.
