This is a brutal blow for Denver, which was already off to a bad start. Their defense finally started to generate some pressure on opposing quarterback Gardner Minshew on Sunday after doing little of that in the first three games. Chubb, in fact, collected his first sack of the season in that one before going down with the injury. It was well-deserved after he was a victim of a very frustrating start to the year.
Chubb had 12 sacks as a rookie in 2018. Now, the promising pass rusher will have to wait until 2020 to try to improve on that mark.
