Guess who’s back? Back again. Spikes is back. Tell a friend.
Linebacker Brandon Spikes has signed a one-year deal to return to the Buffalo Bills, his agent David Canter announced on Sunday via Mike Rodak of ESPN.

Spikes, 28, spent the 2014 season with the Bills, recording 54 combined tackles and appearing in all 16 games. He signed with the Patriots in May 2015 but was released less than a month later due to a hit-and-run incident.
Buffalo has a need at linebacker after Reggie Ragland went down with a potentially serious left knee injury on Friday. Spikes isn’t much of a pass rusher, but he is effective against the run and should be a satisfactory stopgap depth for that defense. Hopefully he manages to lay down those Twitter fingers this time around.
