Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury throws support behind Josh Rosen
There has been a lot of talk about the Arizona Cardinals potentially drafting a quarterback in the first round again this year now that they have hired a new head coach, but Kliff Kingsbury does not want Josh Rosen to worry about his future with the team.
Amid speculation that the Cardinals could be interested in drafting Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick, Kingsbury said Tuesday that Rosen “is our guy.”

It would be a surprise if the Cardinals gave up on Rosen after they traded up to select him in the first round a year ago, but that was before they hired Kingsbury. When Kingsbury was coaching at Texas Tech and preparing his team to face Murray and Oklahoma, he made some comments that indicated he thinks Murray has the potential to be a star in the NFL.
Even if Kingsbury did want Murray, drafting him first overall might be a bit of a reach. The coach’s remarks on Tuesday coupled with the reports we have heard about Rosen’s future with the Cardinals make it seem like Rosen isn’t going anywhere, but time will tell.
