Report: Chargers have ‘moved on’ from Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers

It appears that Philip Rivers’ time with the Chargers organization is coming to an end.

In an appearance on “The Herd” on Monday, FOX Sports reporter Jay Glazer said that the Los Angeles Chargers have “moved on” from Rivers and will be looking for a new quarterback.

If true, Rivers will have to plot his next move. He has made it very clear that he intends to keep playing, even if not with the Chargers. He will likely receive interest, perhaps from an NFC team with an unsettled quarterback situation.

Rivers turned 38 in December. He’s coming off a season that saw him throw for 4,615 yards and 23 touchdowns, but also 20 interceptions.

As for the Chargers, they could be willing to make a huge splash if some other things develop favorably in the market. Their situation will certainly bear watching.
