FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd found himself in trouble on Tuesday for his commentary on his history of NFL Draft predictions, which involved the late Dwayne Haskins.

Cowherd was going over various predictions he had made regarding quarterbacks who had been drafted since 2013. After spotlighting his list of projected high-end starters, Cowherd transitioned to a list of quarterbacks that he predicted at the time of their selection could not win Super Bowls. That list included several quarterbacks that are no longer in the league, as well as Haskins, who died in April 2022.

Cowherd did not mention anything about Haskins’ passing, though he did highlight the former Ohio State quarterback’s name on his list.

The segment seemed like it was meant for Cowherd to show off his record of correctly predicting quarterback careers, since it mentions other quarterbacks like EJ Manuel and Paxton Lynch, who have not played in the NFL for years. Leaving Haskins on his list of unsuccessful quarterbacks without even acknowledging his passing, however, struck many as insensitive and disrespectful.

Cowherd is not the first media member to land in hot water over perceived insensitivity regarding Haskins. It remains to be seen if he sees fit to address the outcry.
