Tony Romo had a rough 2015 NFL season, but if the word from the Dallas Cowboys’ coaches is true, the QB is in for a much better 2016.
Romo has been practicing this week in 11-on-11 drills and has played great, according to his coaches.
“Tony has looked phenomenal, his best stretch in the spring I’ve seen from him in a long time,” QB coach Wade Wilson said Wednesday via the Dallas Morning News’ Brandon George.
Wilson isn’t the only one raving about Romo. Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan also had some positive comments about the QB.
Scott Linehan on Tony Romo: "He looks as healthy and young and vibrant as he has in a long time."

Romo only played four games last season after breaking his collarbone twice. He underwent surgery for it in March.
Though Romo’s stats — five touchdowns and seven interceptions — did not stand out, the numbers were skewed by his poor performance after returning from the initial broken collarbone in a 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys were 3-1 in the games he played and need him healthy and at his best to get back to the playoffs. For now, Cowboys fans have a lot to be excited about, and it sounds like Romo might not be too far off from making Jerry Jones’ proclamation come true.
