Dez Bryant did not show up for his MRI earlier in the week because he was fearful it would confirm he suffered a serious knee injury, according to Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.
Garrett told reporters on Thursday that the Cowboys will take disciplinary action against Bryant internally and move forward.

Jason Garrett said Dez Bryant was well intended in missing the MRI and meetings because of his passion for the game

In addition to skipping the MRI that was scheduled for Monday, Garrett confirmed Bryant missed a team meeting on Tuesday and another on Wednesday.
While you can understand why Bryant was afraid of the news he might get, that is an extremely immature way to handle things. Boycotting the MRI wasn’t going to change whatever injury it was he was dealing with, which has turned out to be a hairline fracture.
Garrett would not say whether Bryant will be able to play against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, though one report indicates things are not looking good for that game and possibly beyond.
