The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to be without Leonard Fournette in Week 6 for the fourth time in five games, and they have decided to bring in a veteran to help pick up the slack while their star running back remains out.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that the Jaguars are signing Jamaal Charles.

Charles has battled injuries over the past few seasons, but the 31-year-old was once one of the most dynamic playmakers in football. He spent the 2017 season with the Denver Broncos, appearing in 14 games but rushing for just 296 yards on 96 carries.
It’s unclear how much Charles has left in the tank, but the Jaguars are also dealing with an injury to running back Corey Grant, who will likely miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury. Grant played a big role in the passing game while Fournette was out, so Jacksonville will likely give Charles a chance to step into that role.
