Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been taking it easy during training camp so far after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix. But the 2021 AP Comeback Player of the Year still managed to participate in a team conditioning drill on Thursday.

Burrow’s appendectomy that he received prior to the start of training camp is not expected to keep him out of practice for a lengthy amount of time.

On Thursday, the Bengals were captured sprinting across their practice field during a conditioning drill. Burrow also participated, but with a twist.

Lined up near the opposite endzone, Burrow drove a golf cart across the field alongside his teammates who were on foot. He then turned around and drove back to finish the drill.

Burrow was spotted driving his golf cart around with running back Joe Mixon earlier this week.

Luckily for Burrow and the Bengals, this injury will not be as tough to recover from as was the torn ACL he suffered during his rookie season.

Burrow threw for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns and led the Bengals to the Super Bowl while coming off of his ACL injury and subsequent surgery. Perhaps he and the Bengals will be able to finish the deal this time around.
