Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has reportedly been released from a New Hampshire rehab facility.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Gordon is out after 30 days of rehab, and one source says the playmaker is doing “a lot better.”
As far as his NFL career goes, Gordon is now in a holding pattern. The NFL would need to reinstate him, and he doesn’t even have permission to join the team at their training facility at the moment.
Gordon doesn’t seem to be in Cleveland’s plans. They tried to trade him before he landed in rehab. They still could, theoretically, before Tuesday’s deadline, though it seems unlikely that they would be able to find a taker at this stage.
