Kemba Walker leaves Celtics game with thumb injury

Kemba Walker Celtics

Kemba Walker left Thursday night’s Boston Celtics-Philadelphia 76ers game after hurting his thumb in the second quarter.

Walker was trying to make a move for the ball on offense and appeared to hurt his left thumb pushing off of Mike Scott. He was grimacing and holding his left hand over the next minute and left for the locker room.

Walker had 13 points on 5/8 shooting prior to exiting.

In his first season with Boston, Walker is averaging 22 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. His Celtics are 25-10 on the season and were leading Philly 55-48 at halftime.
