Oakland’s Khalil Mack earned the distinction of being the first player to be a first-team All Pro at two different positions in the same year.
The versatile Mack has confounded enough voters that he was selected as both a defensive end and a linebacker, according to Shutdown Corner’s Eric Edholm.
Edholm noted that voters may have been confused by the fact that the team’s official depth chart lists Mack as a linebacker, while the official roster lists him as a defensive end. In reality, he’s simply more of a hybrid, and a product of the new NFL.
Mack is definitely a beast, having collected 15 sacks and 77 tackles during the season. He’s certainly a deserving All Pro, though not so deserving that he should get to occupy two spots on the team.
