A frightening situation unfolded at LaGuardia Airport on Thursday when a Delta Airlines flight that was landing in some inclement weather slid off the runway and broke through a fence. New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell was on the plane.
Fortunately, it does not appear that any of the 130 passengers and crew members were injured. The New York Fire Department indicated that everyone had gotten off the aircraft safely about 30 minutes after it came sliding to a halt. Donnell was among them.
“Look at this sh–!” Donnell wrote on Instagram alongside the video you see above. “Knew I shoulda stayed my ass at home.”
This is not the first time we have heard of a terrifying airplane incident involving a football team. The important thing is that Donnell and everyone else on board were able to get off safely. You can add this to the never-ending list of reasons we need winter to end here in the northeast.
