Matt Cassel traded to Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills completed a trade for quarterback Matt Cassel on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com reports that the Bills will receive a fifth-round draft pick in 2017 in exchange for Cassel, so the Cowboys hardly gave up anything.
Brandon Weeden will likely get the start for Dallas against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but don’t be surprised if Cassel eventually takes over until Tony Romo returns. Given what we have seen from both quarterbacks throughout their careers, most people would agree that Cassel is more competent.
Then again, we all heard what Jerry Jones said about Weeden in a recent interview. Maybe Romo won’t even get his job back, right?
