Mohamed Sanu jokes Tom Brady offered him No. 12 with Patriots
Mohamed Sanu has worn jersey No. 12 for all eight of his NFL seasons, but that was a bit of a problem on the New England Patriots.
Tom Brady wears No. 12 in New England and has it part of his nickname and brand — “TB12.” There was no way that was going to change, but that didn’t stop Brady from jokingly offering the number to Sanu, who was acquired by the Patriots in a trade with Atlanta this week.
Take a look as Sanu shares the story of Brady offering him the number:

“I just go out there and do my job and let him be great.”
That’s a perfect quote from Sanu, who says he is changing to number 14.
The 30-year-old receiver from Rutgers has 33 catches for 313 yards and a touchdown this season. The Patriots traded a second-round pick to the Falcons for him. The jersey numbers are a big deal, too. We’ve seen a lot get traded for them.
