Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins aggravated a hamstring injury during Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills, and he is now going to be sidelined for an extended period.

The Texans placed Collins on injured reserve Wednesday, meaning he will miss at least four games. Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans had hinted that Collins could miss time when Ryans discussed the injury earlier in the week.

Collins had a breakout season last year with 80 catches for 1,297 yards and 8 touchdowns. The former Michigan star was on pace to blow past those numbers this season. Collins is currently the NFL’s leading receiver with 567 yards, and that’s with missing most of Sunday’s game.

Collins came up lame after torching Buffalo’s secondary for a 67-yard touchdown in the first quarter on Sunday. He exited the game and did not return.

The Texans have solid wide receiver depth with Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell, but the injuries are starting to pile up. They have also been without starting running back Joe Mixon, who was missed several games with an ankle injury.
