Patriots reportedly suspend videographer who filmed Bengals’ sideline

A form of discipline has already been handed down stemming from the incident in which the New England Patriots illegally filmed the Cincinnati Bengals’ sideline last weekend, but it did not come from the NFL.

The Patriots have suspended the videographer who took footage of Cincinnati’s sideline in Cleveland last week, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reports. The employee has been identified as Dave Mondillo, who has been a longtime producer for Kraft Sports and Entertainment.

Bill Belichick immediately distanced himself from the videotaping incident after it became public. The coach is reportedly livid over it, so it makes sense that the employee responsible has been suspended if he truly was not operating at the directive of Belichick or any member of the football operations department.

A video of the confrontation that took place between Bengals security and New England’s videographer was released on Sunday, and it shows that a specific area of the Cincinnati sideline was recorded for several minutes.
