Pennsylvania prosecutors to look into Antonio Brown sexual assault allegations
Antonio Brown is not yet facing any criminal charges stemming from the allegations that were made against him in a sexual assault lawsuit filed on Tuesday, but at least one district attorney’s office plans to investigate the claims further.
Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala said Wednesday that his office will be looking into the sexual assault allegations against Brown.

Allegheny County encompasses Pittsburgh, and one of the alleged incidents involving Brown took place in the Pittsburgh area. Britney Taylor, who used to help train Brown and considered herself friends with the star wide receiver at one point, said in her civil lawsuit that she was staying at one of Brown’s Pittsburgh-area homes in June 2017 because he had not booked her a hotel room when she visited to help him train. During her stay, Taylor says Brown exposed himself to her and grabbed and kissed her without her consent.
That was the first of three alleged incidents. Taylor says the second occurred later the same month and the third in 2018, when she claims Brown raped her. You can read more about the specific allegations here.
The second and third alleged incidents occurred in Miami, so it’s possible Florida prosecutors could also open up an investigation.
Brown has maintained his innocence through both his lawyer and agent, who have described Taylor’s allegations as nothing more than a “money grab.” Brown was at practice with the New England Patriots on Wednesday, though a report claims the NFL is strongly considering placing him on the commissioner’s exempt list. A criminal investigation could make that outcome more likely.
