Redskins request committee to review Trent Williams’ medical records
Trent Williams has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Washington Redskins and their medical staff for months, and now the team is hoping to have some mediation in the matter.
Williams reported to the Redskins on Tuesday, just after the trade deadline passed. He did not pass his physical due to discomfort with his helmet. Reporting to the team but not passing his physical would allow Williams to make money and not have his contract toll while still not playing.
On Thursday, Williams shared a list of grievances he has with the team, including the assertion that he had cancer and the team diagnosed it as minor.
Washington responded in a statement later on Thursday saying they have requested the NFL’s Management Council convene to review the medical records and care Williams has received.

Williams has made it clear that he does not want to play for the Redskins any longer, and the team has refused to move on without him. Instead, they want to try some mediation on the matter.
The team’s refusal to trade Williams has reportedly left other teams furious.
