The Dab has become a theme for the Carolina Panthers this season, led by MVP quarterback Cam Newton. Cam dabbed after touchdowns during the season. The team also posed together for Dab photos during games sometimes. So when it came time for team photos at the Super Bowl, of course there was going to be one with them all doing the Dab.
The only thing is, if you look carefully, you’ll notice that three players did not Dab. That’s Star Lotulelei, as well as offensive guards Trai Turner and Chris Scott.
Lotulelei told the Charlotte Observer why he didn’t Dab.
“A lot of guys, if it’s their personality, then they do it,” Lotulelei said. “It’s not me but I love watching all the other guys do it.
“I haven’t been in any of those pictures. I just sit on the sideline, sit over in the (defensive) line area and just chill.”
The Dab is not for everyone. But as long as all the players are on the same page and continue to follow their Dab leader, they’ll be fine.
